Hi Ailsa, One thing that was missing from all the replies to your post that I have seen is this: South Kilvington is the name of a village just a couple of miles from Thirsk. So, your family name of KILVINGTON might denote an association with that place at some time in the past of the family involved. regards, Peter Appleton My Family Tree website: http:/www.tribalpages.com/tribes/pappleton3 -----Original Message----- From: Ailsa Petrie [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 06 January 2006 22:07 To: [email protected] Subject: [NYorks] Thirsk & Sowerby Monumental Inscriptions I notice that the Cleveland Family History Society has published monumental inscriptions for both Thirsk and Sowerby. If anyone has access to these publications, could you be so kind as to check for any entries for the name KILVINGTON in both places, please? My thanks for any assistance.
