    3. Hi Gill, Looks like Crane to me too, could be they made a mistake with Elizabeth's marital status, was 'your' one born in Cumberland possibly? Sometimes the place of birth varies from census to census, I'm sure they sometimes couldn't remember exactly where they were born. One of my recent ALLISONs had a place of birth as Paxton and the Caxton and he was born at Buttercrambe which is the same area.
