Roger, It's not much but I have a Mary Ann Smallwood who married into my Duck family. Mary was born about 1837 at Hinderwell and married my gt gt uncle John Duck in 1862 at Danby. John and Mary had 4 children, William 1863, George 1869, Elizabeth 1872, and Alice 1876. I did receive information that this family emigrated to Australia in the 1880's but having searched I can't find who told me this. However I can't find them in Yorkshire in 1891 or anywhere in 1901. Did people emigrate to Australia in the 1880's?
