    3. Hello Mary, I'm related to the Jacksons that you mention, though distantly. William Jackson m. Sarah Ward who had Frances Jackson (b. 1859 Farndale, NRY - d. 20 Aug. 1903, Farndale, NRY). They were m. 27 June 1896, Bransdale, NRY (Kirkbymoorside parish). Frances m. William Bowes (c. 29 Feb. 1849 - Lastingham, NRY - d. 21 Jul. 1930. He was also m. to an Esther Potter (1856 - 1881) on 17 June 1876, Bransdale, NRY. My aunt has some old pics of Jacksons one of whom I believe was m. to Sarah Green, sister of Esther Green. The Wards and Green were also part of this extended family. The Green family were all coal miners in the Harland Moor and Rudland Rigg and Moor Houses area of Kirkbymoorside parish, on the moors between Bransdale and Farndale, NRY. There are also connections with the Moon family of this area. George Jackson (b. ca 1818 - 1821, Rudland, Farndale / Bransdale, NRY - d. 25 June 1901 Rudland; buried St. Aidan's Gillamoor, NRY) was m. on 1 Jul. 1854 Kirkbymoorside to Mary Green c. 14 Apr. 1833, Kirkbymoorside (b. at Rudland). She d. 16 Mar. 1913 Rudland, Farndale / Bransdale (Kirkbymoorside parish) and is buried at St. Aidan's Gillamoor. Their children were: 1. Robert Jackson b. ca 1859; Thomas Jackson b. ca 1860 and Jane Elizabeth Jackson - b. ca 1867. A Joseph Allenby (c. 31 Jan. 1813 Helmsley, NRY) was m. to Elizabeth Jackson (no dates) on 18 Dec. 1839 in Helmsley, NRY.
