According to the 1901 census George COUSINS a stone mason aged 36 (i.e. born about 1864) was born in Ripon and still residing there in 1901 but I cannot find a suitable birth reference on-line. Can somebody please try and locate one for me? Thanks, nrg.

Hi Norman, YOu can search the GRO Index, the index itself not the transcript on FreeBMD, at the ancestry website free of charge, no need to have a subscription to Ancestry. Go to http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx and make your search. There is also a link to the Free BMD transcript from here so make sure you select the GRO Index itself and not FreeBMD.
