Hi Jenny, Perhaps I'm another one to put in your BOWES possibles file. Isabella BOWES, daughter of Roger BOWES and Margaret (nee BENTLEY), was born in 1864 at Hawnby. She married Henry William APPLETON in 1895. Henry was a brother of David Hewgill APPLETON who, in turn, was my Great-Great-Grandfather. Roger was born at Snilesworth in 1822 and died in Helmsley Registration District in 1884. Margaret was born about 1829 in Snilesworth and also died in Helmsley Reg.Dist. in 1884. He was noted as being a yeoman of Wethercote Farm Snilesworth Hawnby.
