    3. Hi Jenny I have only one Bowes; Ann or Hannah bap 20 Jan 1712 at Hawnby, daughter of John (David) Bowes, a farmer at Snilesworth. She married William Tireman on 27 Nov 1735. I have traced the Tireman descendants should you ever find that you are linked to Ann Bowes. 3. Hi Paddy, I would say, on the face of it, that there is a good chance that your Bowes at Snilesworth and mine from the same area would be connected but a little earlier back, perhaps two generations earlier. I need to do some research on this family and go through the Hawnby PRs myself. The little informationI have from Hawnby PRs comes from an index that someone kindly gave me a few years ago. I am hoping I will find more details in the originals on LDS film. All I know about my Anne Bowes is that she married William Russell at Hawnby in 1677. He was noted as being a yeoman of Wethercote Farm Snilesworth Hawnby. I will keep your e.mail in my Bowes possibles file, perhaps you would keep a note of my Ann Bowes that married William Russell at Hawnby in case you work back far anough one day to link up with such an earlier Anne Bowes Thanks for getting in touch.
