    3. Rob, A minor correction to Ged's information: Flixton is in the parish of Folkton and always has been. There is no Church of England church at Flixton, and therefore it cannot be a parish town. BTW, although the government decreed in 1974 that both of these places are now in North Yorkshire, for the period before this date, both of these places were in the East Riding, and therefore any records would be at Beverley as opposed to Northalleton/Harrogate.
