Hi, I am having a problem trying to find one of my ancesters &wonder if anybody has had the same problem but have eventually decided he is are the one they are looking for. I have spent several months looking for a William Holmes His death was registered in 20 Nov 1837 in(Kirkbymoorside)age 58 Disease of the Lungs He was a Collier by his son John He was buried in Bransdale age 58 He married Ann Hornby 20 Feb 1808 Helmsley She was still living when he died In the 1851 census she was 70yrs This information would make him born 1779. My problem is the only William who seems to fit is one bapt in 1764 Has anybody found anybody who fits their tree whose age been given with such a large gap. His son might have just guessed his age but his father would have been in his forties when he married & I havn`t found an earlier wedding. All the family were colliers in isolated areas near Helmsley. Mary Lamport --------------------------------- To help you stay safe and secure online, we've developed the all new Yahoo!
