Not too much at Brotton for me mostly at Skelton. However for marriage at Brotton May 14, 1797 John Taylor & Elizabeth Sayer... any details?? Burials ?? Do they have a cemetery at Brotton?? or is it located at Skelton. I have found 2 deaths of children within days of birth in Skelton 1825 & 1826. But I can't locate either of these children and I don't believe that they came with their parents to America.. So any death for these 2 children?? Elizabeth Taylor b. March 30, 1827 and her brother George Sayer Taylor b. Jan. 18, 1829--their parents were John Taylor & Ellis (Alice) Lockwood Taylor m. Dec. 1824 at Brotton They were living at EAst Pasture Farm during some of this time.. Thanks again, Margaret

Three generations of my Swales ancestors were buried there, around the time you mentioned. LDS has a transcription of the headstones on microfilm. I'd love to have a photo of the Swales monument, by the way, if sks were to visit there with a digital camera. I understand that it has fallen, but that the inscription is mostly intact and visible. I had hoped to get over there myself (I live in California) but sadly no opportunities for traveling to the UK have materialized the last few years. -steve
