Good morning from New Zealand, I have found a parish register burial entry for 1974 and the address of the deceased at the time of death is given as "Clarry Garth, Sowerby". Is anyone able to throw some light on this address, please? Was it a private home, private hospital, home for the elderly? Would there be any possibility of finding the name of the occupier, if it was a private home? Of course, it may have been the deceased's home, I don't know. The deceased was a 74 year old widow, with no family of her own. Nieces and nephews, perhaps, but no children.
