    3. Hi Mark: This is probably summat and nowt but my mother always said one of the Featherstones went to be a chef in Queen Elizabeth's kitchens. At that time we lived in Seamer (4 miles outside Scarborough) Yorks, now we live in Ontario, Canada.. Don't get excited she could quite easily have been repeating someone else's wishfull thinking but you never know! 3. Hi I also have Featherstones in my tree. My g-g-grandfather John Newsam of Kirkbymoorside married Christiana Featherstone in Lastingham Church in 1850. Christiana lived with her parents, Robert & Christiana at Ash House, a farm at the head of Farndale,I believe she had 3 brothers and a sister but I do not know their names. Christiana - daughter, was born about 1824, and was the youngest child of the family. Does this connect her with any other Featherstones that people know about? Margaret Southern
