I would like to enquire about electoral rolls for the Darlington area, especially after 1926, when women were given the vote. I think that is the correct date. Can someone tell me where I might find electoral rolls from 1926 until the beginning of WWII? If anyone has access to such things and would be prepared to check two families for me, I would be very grateful. Can't help with the electoral role but are you aware that you can search for B/M/D online at Darlington's registry office site. The link is http://www.darlington.gov.uk/Living/Register+Office/Register+Office.htm then follow the link "search for certificates on line.
