Hi Rona, In my tree there is a Eliza Dowson born approx 1809 in Ayton which is near Stokesley, she was the second wife of William Purvis born 1799 in Loftus. They married in 1850 in the Stokesley area but I haven´´t researched the exact church yet. I am afraid that is all the information I have on the Dowsons. It might be worth looking at the Ayton area. Thanks Steve. I'll certainly have a look at the surrounding areas as well as Stokesley. Thanks again. Rona.
