    3. Thank you Helen, that dose look like the same people. The family were transcribed as Field on the 1841 census in Escrick on Ancestry, I know Hield is the correct spelling though. I have a family bible passed down through the family from my grt-gt-grandmother DRUSILLA HIELD. When i first saw it spelt I thought it was German, but my grandfather pronounced it "Heeld". Best wishes Carole >From: Helen Oram <helen@wtoram.co.uk> >Reply-To: eng-north-yorks@rootsweb.com >To: eng-north-yorks@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [ENG-NORTH-YORKS] GEORGE HIELD of Scarborough >Date: Tue, 19 Jun 2007 12:52:42 +0100 > >In message <BAY139-F3613A848D7964300C7DA78EE120@phx.gbl>, Carole >Robinson <carole49gtlum@hotmail.co.uk> writes > >Hello, > > > > > >EDWARD HIELD and MARY CORDUEX were married in Boswell Church on 19 Sep > >1819 but i have been unable to find where this was. > > >Hello Carole, > There is this entry on the IGI - Boswell could be a phonetic rendition >of Bossall, and Hield could have been misread as Field! > >MARY CORDUKES >------------------------------ >Marriages: > Spouse: EDWARD FIELD > Marriage: 19 SEP 1819 Bossall, Yorkshire, England > > >Messages: > Extracted marriage record for locality listed in the record.
