Hi, Does anyone know the village of Gayles? I have a number of families living there, late 18th-19th century, and I am putting together a little booklet for my father-in-law as they are on his side of the family. I would love to be able to add some photos of the village. (preferably old ones but that is probably wishful thinking!) I'd also like photos of West Street, East Street and Middle Street, which are still there, all of which are specific addresses mentioned in the censuses. Does anyone have anything that they'd be willing to share with me? The family name is MENNELL (also MEYNELL, MENALE etc) with connections to SHIPPEN, GLOVER & POUNDER.
