    3. Ailsa, Should have added in previous reply that the "blacksmith" would almost certainly have been employed in one of the local ironstone mines rather than being a "village blacksmith". Same as in an earlier post of yours, as I recall. kindest regards, Peter Appleton -----Original Message----- From: eng-north-yorks-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:eng-north-yorks-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Ailsa Petrie Sent: 21 February 2008 21:31 To: Rootsweb Nth Yorkshire List Subject: [ENG-NORTH-YORKS] William BROOKS & Hannah READMAN Looking for information or descendants of the following, if anyone can help, please. 3. Dear Ailsa, I checked the monumental inscriptions for St. Aidans, Boosbeck and found 1 inscription for a William Allan BROOKS. This William Allan was the husband to Clara Cumming BROOKS. He was born on January 18, 1853 and died Dec. 7, 1923. Do you think this maybe a relative to your BROOKS? Perhaps his father?
