    1. [ENG-NORTH-YORKS] Searching for Robinson and Dixon
    2. audreyann
    3. Hi I am new to this list and my interests lie with the Robinsons from the Alne, Tollerton area and the Dixon's from Pickering. My gggrandmother was Elizabeth Dixon. She married James Robinson in York in 1847 and they, together with their family immigrated to Australia in 1862 - aged 39 and 48 (a brave thing to do at such an age). Elizabeth's death certificate shows her father's name as William and the 1851, and 1861 Census have her born Pickering about 1827. I was wondering if anyone had access to the 1841 census for the area. I found a William Pickering, blacksmith on a 1840 Pickering gazetteer. The only Dixon family that might match Elizabeth's on the IGI is the family of William and Ann: John born 1819, Ann Elizabeth born 1822, Hannah (Elizabeth named her daughter Hannah, and another Ann), and Bethia born 1827. Bethia fits Elizabeth's details but I don't think its short for Elizabeth is it? Any help would be appreciated. Audrey >From Australia -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. 3. Hi, Could you do me a favour please and check for any Robinsons and Bartletts? I have a marriage in 1654 of Margaret Bartlett, daughter of John ( who I think was Mayor of Richmond) to Thomas Robinson. I also know that my Robinsons of Easby, Spennithorne and Wensley linked in and out of Richmond at various times Thanks very much Sheila -----Original Message----- From: eng-north-yorks-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:eng-north-yorks-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Paul Verney Sent: 25 February 2008 14:07 To: eng-north-yorks@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [ENG-NORTH-YORKS] ENG-NORTH-YORKS Digest, Vol 3, Issue 31 I have M.I's for St Mary, Richmond. if you would like me to look for you?
