    3. Hi, I asked a similar question on the East Yorkshire list and then realised that although my ancestors moved to Sculcoates after the birth of their children, they married in Norton by Malton and more than likely were born in North Yorkshire. I'm trying to trace my 4x Great Grandparents John RAWLING and Christiana LAPISH, who married in Norton by Malton on 10th September 1799. They had 5 known children.... Elizabeth RAWLING (1800) m. John COURT Mary RAWLING (1803) m. Joseph REEDER William RAWLING (1806) (My 3x G Grandfather) m. Elizabeth JOHNSON Edward RAWLING (1807) m. Mary HUDSON Harriet RAWLING (1810) m. Thomas LAPISH Shortly after this the family moved to Sculcoates (Hull) where John died in 1813 and Christiana in 1831, both are buried in Sculcoates cemetery. Although I can't find a baptism or birthplace for either of them, I may have found siblings, as a William RAWLING married Harriet LAPISH in Sculcoates in 1808, I'm assuming that brothers married sisters, though I have no proof of this. Also Joseph LAPISH married Ann WARDELL in New Malton in 1804 and their son Thomas Wardale LAPISH married Harriet RAWLING (here I'm assuming that Harriet and Thomas were cousins) Does anyone recognise any of these names? Regards, Jan Holmes (nee Rawling) _________________________________________________________________ The next generation of Windows Live is here http://www.windowslive.co.uk/get-live
