Although I have been trying to trace my family for a couple of years now I am still a novice regarding some of the research facilities. I know nothing about 'directories'. I have been concentrating on the on-line BDMs etc for England and Wales and LDS Films to research my Irish side to which I was guided by a lister on another site. I will now delve into the world of directories and see what I have been missing. Can you recommend a good starting place. They will do a fifteen minute search for free (or they used to) but if the search takes longer they prefer people to use their research service. Everyone who e-mails goes into a queuing system and are answered on a first come first served basis I did have a quick look in my Kelly's 1949 directory but No 52 isn't listed, probably too late for you anyway and directories only list the head of the house as you probably already know Caryl
