Pauline Try e-mailing Liverpool Record office _recoffice.central.library@liverpool.gov.uk_ (mailto:recoffice.central.library@liverpool.gov.uk) they may just look that up for you, if not too busy. They will do a fifteen minute search for free (or they used to) but if the search takes longer they prefer people to use their research service. Everyone who e-mails goes into a queuing system and are answered on a first come first served basis I did have a quick look in my Kelly's 1949 directory but No 52 isn't listed, probably too late for you anyway and directories only list the head of the house as you probably already know Caryl In a message dated 30/05/2005 23:14:47 GMT Standard Time, pinkspider@btinternet.com writes: Hi Listers I wonder if SKS might be able to look up the family living at 52 Berkley Street Liverpool 8 for the years 1943, 1944, 1945. If it is only possible to look up one year then 1944 please. Or if no electoral registers exist for those years then maybe someone could let me know the year of the first electoral register after the war. I am hoping to find my paternal grandmother living there at that time. Unfortunately I do not know the surname she was using. Hopefully it was McGOWAN. Also hoping to find my father there. However he did serve with the Royal Navy so he could have been away at electoral times. Pauline
