I have Thomas Dodd, famous coxswain of the Hoylake Lifeboat, married to Mary Jane Sherlock on April 25 1879 at Holy Trinity, Hoylake. She is my 2 x gt. aunt, sister to my great-grandfather, *Peter Sherlock. Thomas Dodd's parents were Peter Dodd and Alice Hughes. Alice Hughes is daughter of Richard Hughes and Nancy (Anne) Silcock. Richard Hughes is son of Richard Hughes and Alice Eccles (my 4 x great grandparents). Richard Hughes died in the 1810 Lifeboat disaster, along with his son Thomas, and brother Joseph. Nancy (Anne) Silcock was the sister of my 3 x gt. grandmother, Jane Silcock, who was married to Peter Sherlock on 15 May 1825 at St. Nicholas, Liverpool (grandparents of the above *Peter Sherlock).
