What I have is son of James Barton, James, who I fondly call Junior, was born in Wivenhoe, Essex: D/P227/1/6 entry 200 James Barton son of James and Harriet Barton born 3 June 1816 baptised 21 July 1816 at St MARY the Virgin Wivenhoe Essex. But showing in Toxteth Park in 1851 census: 1851 census index:- PRO piece no. HO 107/2187 Toxteth Park BARTON James 34 Timber Yard Labourer, Essex, Weverimbre? BARTON Elizabeth 36 Lancs. Liverpool Not sure where HO 107/2187 would be in Toxteth Park, but hoping you can locate Senior around there in one of the directories. For Junior I have the 1851, 1871 and 1881 censuses. I know I am probably asking the impossible, but hey, if ya don't ask ya don't know. :) Information I have states that both Junior and Senior were mariners...Junior's info I got from census records and I can't remember where I got Senior's from.
