Hello, Wendy. Kelly's Directory of Liverpool and Birkenhead, 1894, lists John MYERS as the licensee of the Fairfield Hotel, Rock Ferry. However, it also lists a William MITCHELL, licensee of the Medlock Hotel, Medlock Street, Kirkdale, Lpool. Gore's Directory of Liverpool and Birkenhead (part 3), 1900., lists William MITCHELL at the Fairfield Hotel, 292 Old Chester Road, Rock Ferry. Kelly's Directory of Cheshire 1902, has William MITCHELL as in 1900, at the Fairfield Hotel. William MITCHELL was not at the Fairfield Hotel in 1914; Kelly's list a James Ross HURRELL. Hope this helps. Regards, John.
