As the whole family were 'staunch' RC I have been trying to trace it through all the church records , so quite a surprise to find that it was at a register office! However, as the first child was born only two months later that may have has something to do with it. The names in Kelly's don't yet fit into my tree, but may do as I find out more. Thanks again. Hi Betty, Your people may have married in church! Few, if any, R.C. Priests were "authorised persons" who could marry couples according to the Law. When I married in an R.C. Church by the Priest, we immediately went into the Vestry and were married again by the civilian registrar.
