My g g grandfather was John McMaster (1808-1861), a weaver, then soldier, then dock labourer, born Clonfeacle parish, Co Armagh, N. Ireland, and died 147 Bedford St., Liverpool. I have reason to believe that George McMaster (1813-1882) could have been his younger brother. George was born in Ireland and died in Liverpool. He was married to a Jane (?Walters), who was also born in Ireland about 1821. They lived at 21 Upper Stanhope Street in Liverpool for many years. George and Jane had a son called Andrew. He was born in Liverpool in 1855 and became a master stevedore (docker). He married Alice Maude Thompson (born 1866 in Birkenhead, Merseyside, England), in Liverpool in 1887. In 1891 this family lived at 2 Palm Hill, Birkenhead. They had 2 sons, George (born Liverpool in 1890) and Andrew (born Birkenhead in 1892). Alice died in 1895 and Andrew married a Josephine. They had a daughter Eileen (born Birkenhead in 1897) and maybe other children. Does anyone have further details of this family and/or their descendants? Mike
