JOHN CLEGG b 1815 Scarisbrick Lancashire m ALICE CARTER 4th Jan 1842 in Ormskirk In 1841 JOHN was living at an address known as Holigreen in Aughton he was a shoemaker none of the other household were his relatives but they were all either shoemakers or cloggers In 1851 JOHN & ALICE lived at Hills Lane Aughton with daughter Elizabeth age 9 Sons Thomas age 6 & WILLIAM age 1 & Mother in law Elizabeth Carter age 61 In 1861 they still lived at Hills Lane & had 3 more children John age 9 Mary age 6 Charles age 3 WILLIAM CLEGG b 1850 Aughton Lancashire m MARY HARTLEY 1872 in Ormskirk she was b in 1853 in Lydiate. 1881 shown as living in Hills Lane,William was an agr. labourer with 4 children Alice age 7 John age 5 Thomas age 3 William age 10 months By 1891 they had moved to Liverpool Living at 103 Bond St.and additions to the family are Annie age 8, JAMES age 6, Mary 10 months, JAMES CLEGG b1887 Aughton Lancashire m Annie Gough 6th march 1905. d 22nd July 1961.In 1901 James was Living at Parliament st ? All Souls parish,with his brother John his occupation was a Carter. James & Annie had 4 daughters Annie, Mary, ALICE, & Margaret,& 3 sons James, William, Thomas ALICE CLEGG b1910 Liverpool m JAMES PATRICK HARRISON 13TH Sept.1928. Alice d 16th Dec 1987 at 77 Melbury rd Page Moss Liverpool 14.(Cancer) James d 5th Dec 1985 Broardgreen Hospital (Cancer) They had 6 children James, Mary, Maureen, Marion, THOMAS, John. Tom Harrison
