Gordon: I posted earlier about my purpose in searching for KIRKPATRICK. I didnt ever explain fully that I dont have a relationship with them. I am trying to link the KIRKPATRICKs with the SHERRATT line into which they married with my Gt Gt Grandmother's line of SHERRET that you and I know has so many variables. Both lines originate from the same district in Scotland and it may be somewhat remarkable that my grandmother wrote up the SHERRET/SHERRATT & KIRKPATRICK tree with some accuracy. So you will see now why I have not stopped pursuing it. As to your doubts about a DAVIES connection, as I said, it is with my Step father and not my natural father. It seems that your folk were at some time in N. Wales, whereas from what I understand DAVIES is a name of south Welsh origin. Of course, we know that people travelled and I could accept they went to N. Wales before arriving in Liddypool.
