I want to thank all those who responded to my post about Ancestry.com I really do think its worth sharing thought and though I didn't deliberately set out to get look ups, in so doing, that was the end result. I have ordered the death certificate though I know I wont find the parents' names upon it. I am holding out all hope in the identity of the Informant but when families pursue a naming pattern, that may not necessarily be so. Good luck to you all in your searches. I thought you might be interested in what is contained in the death certificate. It's beautifully written, and quite clear. The identity of the Informant however, is identical to the deceased; both Alexander Sherratt, both of the same age, both of the same address. I would think the odds of that happening are quite short. Hi Janet Yes, very short odds, I imagine. Unless Alexander had psychic powers and presented himself at the registery office immediately before his demise and sorted the paperwork out to save his family the trouble..... Or he could have had a twin brother of the same name? I'm putting my money on his psychic powers and hoping they passed down the line to you so that you can sort all our brick walls out. Or let me have next weeks lottery numbers so that I can get on with my family research without the hindrance of having to turn up for work five days a week.
