Mike, hello. I`ve just looked in my book `The Search for Old Wirral` by David Randall ISBN 0 907768 80 6 for any mention of Percy Cottage. Unfortunately I could find no mention of it but there are 6 interesting illustrated pages on Bidston as well as many other pages on all the Wirral villages. There is a lot about St Oswald`s Church and photos of Church Farm, The Lilacs, Yew Tree Farm and several of Bidston Hall. It`s a very good read for anyone interested in that part of the country. As a Wirral exile I now feel quite nostalgic having looked through the book.
