His father was John Hughes born Birkenhead 1858 and married to Elizabeth Burns b. 1866.tHEY Lived at Dock Cottages Birkenhead. Her father was John Burns, his parents were John Hughes born 1828 Backford Chester and Mary Davies born 1831 Birkenhead. This John Hughes was married to Margaret. Other names on Merseyside include Povall, Edwards, Smith, Minnis, Dodgson, Ellames, Dixon, McMahon and Quinn. McMahon, Quinn, Minnis and possibly Burns from Ireland Brick walls on Irish lot and the Hughes clan!!
