But we'll never find out if they have! Marged the HUGHES is impossible I think. Hence hoping someone has already done it!!!! Christine
I think, and I stress, think, I have just found Alice HUGHES with her parents in Great Crosby in 1881 census, no proof other than she is the only Alice Hughes in Crosby. Father Patrick, mother Alice and lots of sibs. Think I will have to order her marriage certificate to Edward ALTY and see what her father's name was. For anyone interested, Patrick HUGHES from Ireland and wife Alice from Gt Crosby. Look promising. If anyone else has already got this certificate I would be grateful for the details from it. Not much luck with this request expected. Thanks for your interest Marged. By the way, have we all absconded from the Liverpool list? I haven't exactly absconded - I have been on this list since in opened, as well as the Liverpool and the Southport lists, and some of the Welsh ones occasionally. Will probably go back on the LIV-ENG one after a little break By the way, have we all absconded from the Liverpool list? Christine
