Hi Hazel I have a Sarah Dodd in my family who married a William Woodcock, they where from Tarvin Cheshire. They had a son John Woodcock born around 1773. Not much more info than that I'm afraid as I haven't started on this part of the tree. Hope we may have a connection let me know.
