Hello Peter,My William (James) FLETCHER was born in c1853 possibly in either Lancashire or Cheshire. My Dad was very reticent on the subject of his Grandfather. I will look up your Miriam and William on the Ancestry census and see if I can come up with any connections. I am clutching at straws! My William's son was William James born 1875. his mother was Alice Hannah Austin. After the birth of their son I have no more info on William Fletcher. My Dad was also William James Fletcher born 1902 and my older brother William James was born and died in 1931. My Mum was Edith COE born 1908. I don't know of any Fletchers of mine who went to Canada. Not much help to you I know! Margaret in Australia.
