Mary Josephine CORBETT-LOWE was born in 1913 at Bromborough the daughter of William Sydney CORBETT-LOWE and Norah Dingwall BATESON who had married in Liverpool in 1907. The CORBETT-LOWE family home was 'Ashburton' on Manorial Road, Parkgate and later at Bidston Road, Oxton. Mary married Captain (later Lt Colonel) David Ronald HUNTER of the Liverpool Scottish Regiment at St Saviours, Oxton on 30th March 1940. I am interested in Mary's flying career in WWII. In 1939 she obtained her pilot's licence and during war was in the Air Transport Auxiliary. Does anyone know of her? David
