You should now be able to search for Chapman births with mother's name Davidson, which would take you well into living relative time. It isn't that time consuming unless Chapman is a very common name. Walter Heywood Chapman is not recorded as death from 1984 to 2006 and nor is Laura I Chapman, which suggests that they both may have died before 1984. Won't necessarily help you with your prime objective of contacting livivng relatives, though. :-( Good luck Gordon From: "Diana Pecar" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2008 10:27 AM Subject: [ENG-MERSEYSIDE] Looking for info on CHAPMAN/DAVIDSON Walter Heywood Chapman married Ellen Jane Davidson at Birkenhead Q2 1892. In the 1901 Census they were living in Bootle Cum Linacre and had two daughters, Mary Catharine (born c1894) and Edith J (born c1896) - both born in Liverpool. I found a record of birth for a Walter Heywood Chapman in Ormskirk in 1904. I believe that Mary Catharine married a PEARSON in West Derby in 1919 and there is also a birth for a Mary C. Pearson in 1921 in Liverpool. I can find no other children. I believe that Edith Chapman married a John B Parry in West Derby in 1925 and there is a birth registration for a Paul B Parry in 1926 in Ormskirk. HELP! Is there any way of finding out anything more recent for these three children of Walter and Ellen Chapman? Particularly anything like marriage and/or children for Walter born 1904 as my mum remembers her great grandmother receiving letters from a Walter Chapman from Liverpool in the 1940/50¹s. So there must be living relatives somewhere I just cannot find them.
