    3. Hi Folks, Something I've come across several times now and so I don't think its a misprint is the 'abbreviation' 'Jno' where a christian name would be expected. Is this an abbreviation for 'John'? Pete

Jno.(or Jno) is an abbreviation for Johannes, which is the Latin equivalent of John, (NOT Jonathan)."
