Hello List, I am still on cloud nine with all the meetings of family and being able to get a feel of the area our ancestors lived, worked and played. And the lovely Churches. England and Scotland are much different then here in Canada. To see all the brick buildings in England and stone buildings in Scotland. It was all so breath taking for me. When you live in a place, you have no idea as to how others see what " you, we " take for granted. Our whole trip was a learning experience, one can never imagine till you see with your own eyes. What a joy it was to visit the U K. The epitome of my family research to go to the places our families came from and to meet and be with my cousins. We were first in London and did the tourist things there. Then on to Nottinghan and Leicestershire where Bill's family were from. We then took the coach to Liverpool. Where we were met and went by taxi for to visit and tour Birkenhead, Chester, Hoylake, Frankby and the cemeteries many are buried in. It brought tears to me when I visited these places for the first time. To be and see were my ancestors walked, worked, played and lived. To see the Churches they married in.  To be with the families and spend time with them. We went on the Mersery ferry to Liverpool.  To see things in Liverpool including inside St. Nicholas Church where many of my family married and had there babies Bapt.  Also went on the tour under the Mersey tunnel. I had no idea Birkenhead and Liverpool were only a 10 minute ferry ride apart. And Wales being so close. We then took the train to Scotland and enjoyed our stay there. Where here the buildings were of beautiful stone. also many of there fences. When we set out on our trip. We wanted to include as much as we could including forms of travel. Everything was so different for us. When we live in a place. We take so much for granted. To be a visitor we see so much. With doing my family research it was all on paper. But to go visit and see with my own eyes was truly a blessing which I will remember always. The people were all so friendly and the hospitality was wonderful. We were so well treated and cared for where ever we went. We were truly made welcomed. Many things to be Thankful for with this being our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and always the memories will last forever. My family names FULTON, FOGG, BROWN, HARDMAN , SHERLOCK, ASHTON  and many more. Cheers for now, Pat and Bill ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
