Terence Davies only lived a stone's throw from "my own Liverpool" - he was in Liverpool 6, I think, and I was in Liverpool 7. Marged The film 'Of Time and the City' directed by Terence Davies has finally been released. It is a collage of video and film footage about the Liverpool of today and yesterday His films include 'Distant Voices, Still Lives' and 'The Long Day Closes' both based on his childhood in Liverpool. I hope that no lister objects to this posting as being too far off topic. Davies' films give the flavour of life in Liverpool from the 1940's onwards. Showing in Liverpool and other selected cities - we are looking forward to see it next week. On reading the reviews - by all accounts it is an excellent film.
