Hi Kathy Brilliant - food for thought if nothing else! In the 1910 US Census 51 year-old William H TREVASKISS has with him a 47 year-old bachelor brother Lewis TREVASKISS, born (like him) in England of an English father. William's mother Ann nee BRADY (b1821 Holyhead) died in 1867, his father John TREVASKISS (b1816 Stepney) marrying widow Jane Adlington ROBINSON nee WALLWORTH in Liverpoool St Bartholomew in 1867. Jane had four children by her first husband John Douglas ROBINSON, including a Lewis ROBINSON (b1863 Liverpool), who would of course have been aged 47 in 1910. Both William & Lewis give their year of immigration into the US as 1870, when they'd have been aged 13 and 7 respectively, but there would seem some doubt about this in view of :- 1871 England Census :- RG10/3828 folio 91 page 63 20 Elston Street, Kirkdale John TREVASKISS, 54, channel pilot, London Stepney Jane, wife, 39, YKS Huddersfield Esther, daur, 16, LAN Crosby Jane, daur, 13, pupil teacher, LAN Liverpool (in fact ROBINSON) Jessie, daur, 11, LAN Liverpool (ROBINSON) Mary C, daur, 11, LAN, Liverpool Douglas, son, 9, LAN Liverpool (ROBINSON) Lewis, son, 7, LAN Liverpool (ROBINSON) John and Jane were divorced in January 1876, and it looks to me as though John may have at that stage crossed the Atlantic with several of the children, since neither he nor they can be found in England after 1871. Many thanks for the US Census images, Kathy - very much appreciated.
