    3. Are you sure of your facts? The Ann Baldwin who dies in Derby in 1891 would seem to have been the wife of a Samuel Baldwin - or that is how it looks from the census and Death Index. One consideration that you could look at is that a much younger widow with child might have remarried quite quickly, and a young boy might have been brought up with a different surname. I have a Robert Baldwin marrying an Ann Blackwell in 1868 in Birkenhead, wirrall, Cheshire. I have found them in the 1871 census in Birkenhead. In 1874 Robert dies.In 1872 I think I found where they may have had a son, Edward Baldwin born in the same place. I got this info from the Cheshire records of UKBDM website. >From then on I can find no trace of either of them. Ann dies in 1891 in july in Derby, Derbyshire. Where are they in 1881 and part of 1891 that is if the census was taken before she died. Was she living perhaps with her son Edward but then where was he. Being born in 1872 he would only be aged around 9 in 1881 and 19 in 1891. When ann and Robert married he was 67 and she 37. Ann was from wales originally. I have even looked in wales but couldn't find them but then she died in Derbyshire so she cant have gone back to wales. I guess I am asking the following: Can anyone help re the name of Edwards mother (he was born sept. 1872) and if Im not being greedy can anyone help re finding them from 1871 onwards. Any help most appreciated.
