    3. Hi again Wendy I appreciate that you have all the censuses you need, but I have to say I'm most intrigued by this one :- 1861 Census RG9/1855 folio 95 page 57 White House, Dawley Magna, Shropshire Robert BALE, 56, horse keeper, SAL Dawley Ann, wife, 55, SAL Dawley Sarah, daur, 16, SAL Dawley Ellen, daur,13, SAL Dawley Francis RICHARDS, nephew, U, 26, coal miner, London Stepney Dawley being in Madeley Registration District, where the aforementioned Francis RICHARDS/Sarah BURGESS marriage took place in 1868? And Francis RICHARDS being of the right age and born in the right place? 3. Hi again Wendy Just realised that the family name in the 1861 Census should be BALL, not BALL, since the IGI has this marriage :- Kemberton, Shropshire 2 April 1828 Robert BALL and Ann HASLEHURST And these baptisms, all in Dawley Magna, all children of William & Ann HASLEHURST :- 8 August 1802 Franceas (named after paternal grandmother) 29 December 1805 Ann (married Robert BALL 1828) 17 May 1807 Mary (married James Monro RICHARDS 1839 in Bethnal Green) 13 May 1810 Margaret And the parents' marriage :- Dawley Magna, Shropshire 4 July 1801 William HASLEHURST and Ann COOPER So Stepney-born Francis RICHARDS' maternal ancestors were all from Dawley in Shropshire, the Mary BLACKBURN with him in the 1871 Toxteth Park Census being his mother re-married and widowed for a second time?
