Audrey - it did occur to me to wonder if his school Marlborough, was not the little school in Marlborough Road, Liverpool, but the prestigious Marlborough in Wiltshire. John Hamilton Cook was a teacher there, presumably of Divinity. The second is any information about a trip made by Einstein to Liverpool University c. 1930. He definitely made one in 1921, but the c.1930 trip is proving hard to find details of. I first saw details in a book, the extract of which is below.
