Hi all I am new to this list. I have been trying to join the Liverpool list but it just keeps coming back as a failure notice. A William Dean Gowar is showed on freeBMD to have died in Liverpool September quarter 1854. As the names William and Dean togelther is rather unusual, I think he must be part of my family, especially as I have been unable to find my William Dean Gowar after the 1851 census. The problem for me is that my Gowars all came from London and I am wondering what William was doing in Liverpool. His wife and children were living in London after his death so this is a complete mystery to us. I was wondering if anyone would be able to look up his death an burial for me. I have been through the burials on Liverpool OPC without much luck. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Eveline

Lesley http://www.liverpoolatwar.co.uk/index.html launched on 3rd September 2009 to mark the 70th anniversary of Britain joining the conflict we know as World War II. Over the coming months and years we intend to build a comprehensive record of the events that impacted on Liverpool and her people during the war. Though centred round what will become a day-by-day timeline of all the main events, whether bombing raids, troop movements, convoy arrivals and departures etc, the initiative will also look at the everyday activities people got on with while they tried to maintain as normal a life as possible. The 3rd of September 1939 is a date that will resonate through British history. The war and its consequences profoundly changed the world and its impact effect us all to this day. The impact on Liverpool was just as profound, we hope to record this over the lifetime of the project. __._,_.___ ATTACHMENTS ARE LIMITED TO 500KB PER EMAIL MESSAGE PLEASE ADD LARGER FILES HERE: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/scousersworld/files/ <http://geo.yahoo.com/serv?s=97476590/grpId=9520851/grpspId=1705043011/msgId =200507/stime=1277790930> Your email settings: Individual Email|Traditional Change <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/scousersworld/join;_ylc=X3oDMTJmY2I0N2kyBF9TA zk3NDc2NTkwBGdycElkAzk1MjA4NTEEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDQzMDExBHNlYwNmdHIEc2xrA3N0b mdzBHN0aW1lAzEyNzc3OTA5MzA-> settings via the Web (Yahoo! The marriage of Patrick MEAGHER and Elizabeth Ellen NEAVES was recorded in the Birkenhead registration district in 1920. I understand that their children were Bryan Dominic born 1921, Elsie born 1923 and Patrick born 1936. Does anyone have any connection with or knowledge of this family? I am looking for personal knowledge of them rather than records. As some of the family may still be living any replies off list please. David
