    3. Hiya Leslie, I have been using the PAF software for more than 10 years. It is wonderful. I have cousins that have used the Family Tree Maker or other expensive software that has switched and they give rave reviews on the PAF software. It is available for free download from the FamilySearch.org website. 2. Hi Gordon & Pam In looking at the 1901 census , there is a John HIGHTON married to Margaret b in London His mom Elizabeth is with them as Head. Also I see a John Highton married 1892 4q Birkenhead. Unfortunately, it doesn't give the spouse. :-( Eleanor In a message dated 7/29/2010 2:45:28 P.M. Moreover, John HIGHTON is listed as single & living with his parents in the 1891 Census?

    3. Hi Pam Henry & Elizabeth's daughter Eleanor Ann (b1866) died in the December quarter of 1871, aged 5. Their son William Henry (b1869) died in the same quarter, aged 2. Son Richard died in 1892 aged 32. There were two more children in addition to the ones you've listed - an Ann Elizabeth born/died in 1862, and an Ann born 1863 died 1865, aged 2. I'm afraid I don't agree with your John HIGHTON/Margaret WALKER marriage. Free BMD lists four names under marriage ref West Derby 8b/738 in the September quarter of 1890 :- HIGHTON John HOOTON Thomas WALKER Margaret WOODS Esther However, if you look at Lancashire BMD you'll find that Margaret WALKER married John HOOTON and John HIGHTON married Esther WOODS? Moreover, John HIGHTON is listed as single & living with his parents in the 1891 Census? Proof that Henry & Elizabeth's son William Henry (b1876 Tranmere) married Alice LYONS rather than Alice HAMLIN, by the way, lies in naming of the son born in 1900 viz Lawrence Henry HIGHTON. Alice LYONS was a daughter of Lawrence James LYONS & Ellen CUNNINGHAM. In the 1911 Census widowed Harry (William H) HIGHTON is living with his widowed mother-in-law Ellen LYONS. I am about to write to the List Owners list to see if they can help. We seem to be under attack on this list, since we also had that stuff from David Pontee (although we know it didn't really come from him). 3. Hiya, Gordon, Yes, I am on the other side of the Big Pond, but I keep weird hours. I generally get up about 1 in the morning my time (CEntral Time) so if I remember correctly would be about 7 your time. Which would also mean that I would have the ability most days to release messages almost immediately. I go to bed about 5 p.m. my time most days which again if I remember would be about 11 p.m. your time. Every once in a while it might take me an hour or so to get the messages out...but mostly I think they will be released with in minutes. 3. Hiya everyone, First off, I want to thank Marged for allowing me the opportunity to help her...and then to tell you all that I have been a list administrator and board administrator with Rootsweb for about 10 years. I have been on this list for probably 5 years, maybe 6...I created and run the Southport list...affectionately called S'Port! LOL I met Marged while on a trip to visit my in-laws in Liverpool in 2005. My in-laws, my husband, and I took the train up to Southport and met up with Marged and others from the S'Port list. We had an enjoyable afternoon! Marged and I periodically talk about that day so long ago! So, I am not new to list adminning, not new to this list, and am friends with Marged. Have fun, Marged...we will be here waiting when you get back...hugs!
