    1. [ENG-MERSEYSIDE] Lightfoot Liverpool
    2. Lemleyloo
    3. Hello I am trying to find as much info as I can on the family of LIGHTFOOT who came from the Toxeth area of Liverpool. Robert John Lightfoot was born appoz 1887 not too sure, I do know he married a Martha Elizabeth Clark about 1911. His son called also Robert Arthur Lightfoot was born 29th June 1913 at 29 North Hill Street, Toxeth Park, Liverpool, I have his birth certificate which gives his parents' names, so I know they are right. I am stuck as I need to get further back but cannot find Robert John in 1911 , so I presume he married after the 1911 census was taken. Anything any one can share will be a great help in my research, thank you to you all for taking the time to read my mail. Sandy

    1. [ENG-MERSEYSIDE] Mary Foster
    2. Marian Foster
    3. Hi there everyone, I have a Mary Foster b 1824 Rainford (she says this consistently on all census) father William (1851 census and two marriages) but I can't find her baptism on lan-opc or the IGI (only a member-submitted stab at 1827 Widnes) She lived variously in Whiston, Bold and Widnes, was an ag lab and charwoman and was married (1) to Robert Whitfield and (2) to John Unsworth. Any ideas about how to find out who her mother was? I think that the Sarah Foster on the census is William's second wife and her siblings seem to be the children of Mary but to be honest its all a bit circumstantial. I am trying to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Mary was the sister of my 2x g-grandfather Samuel Foster. Best wishes, Marian ______________________________________________ This email has been scanned by Netintelligence http://www.netintelligence.com/email

    3. Message from my cousin. Hi again Audrey -- I knew your friends would come up with some good information! I am 99% sure it's the Liverpool school. I have many of his papers including an obituary-like document that gives details of his career. I will try and get a scan of it sent from home or else do it myself at Christmas. I also have a silvered watch back (unfortunately not the watch itself) which says something like "To Mr Cook from the Boys of Marlborough College" Best, Sam Will send his email address to those who have contributed information. 3. Hi Marian Marlborough College in Marlborough Road, Tuebrook was a private school in 1911. Headmaster Frederick John WILKINSON was born c1863 in Travancore, Madras, India - his father Frederick WILKINSON c1833 in Trinidad, West Indies. Frederick John was registered with the Teachers' Registration Council on 1 February 1921, professional address Marlborough College, Tuebrook, Liverpool. He attained Intermediate Examinations in Arts at the Universities of both London and Victoria. He listed his experience as (i) assistant master at the School for Sons of Missionaries in Blackheath (1880-1882); (ii) Berkhempstead School, Hertfordshire (1884-1891) and (iii) Head Master of Marlborough College, Tuebrook from 1892. Audrey's great-uncle was the reverend John Hamilton COOK, who doesn't feature under that name in the Teachers' Register 1870-1948. 2. Angelika
    3. Possibly a bit of a long shot... but does anybody have this person in their family tree, or have any links with/knowledge of the family? James was born in Rock Ferry in 1872, the elder son of John (b 1845) and Ellen Janet (b 1848) whose maiden name was McKenzie. He married Elizabeth Clokie (from Yorkshire) in 1900 and they had at least four children - Elsie Jeanette, John Alexander, Hugh McDowall and Jessie Clokie. If anybody has any connections with the family... I have a photo of James taken in 1873 (bought for 2 Euro at a collectors' fare in Holland this afternoon). I'd love to find a good home for it (and maybe learn a bit more about the family in the process) Angelika
