    3. He definitely did mishear me, Eleanor, mainly because he had probably never heard of Rollo. No, I didn't get them because they were not freely available in the shops for a very long time after this (about 1945/6). Sweets were still on the ration until 1953 -very little available - this was just wishful thinking on my part Marged That's funny! I hope you gave back the rolled oats and got your rollos. He was probably teasing you or maybe misheard you. Have a good night Eleanor No virus found in this outgoing message. 3. This mention of the Huntingtons of Liverpool brings back many happy memories for me as I used to live close by their bakery and I can smell that bread now! Remember going into the shop at the end of WW2 and asking for a packet of Rollos (chocolate toffees, in case you don't know). Someone must have given me one - they were new, and sweets had been in very short supply. I was thrilled when Mr Huntington said "Yes, certainly" and reached behind the counter - but handed me a packed of ROLLED OATS (cereal/porridge). 2. Hi George, Yes they did make the new Constellation from parts of the old Constellation. Ok I'll check it out when I go, but it won't be until (the earliest) spring or perhaps summer. I'll get back to you. Best Wishes Eleanor In a message dated 1/18/2011 6:36:37 P.M. Am I clearly understanding your wishes? I'll be happy to do that for you and will let you know when I travel there for clarification of your wish list. Sorry my previous post got mishmoshed. Coincidence, you entered Mystic Seaport as I spent the day in Connecticut, my first outing in more than 3 years. That's a nice painting, am happy for you that you could get some sort of imagery for your records. I waited too long to start my genealogy so have very few snippets even through family. All I know of my great grandmother from England is that some of her kids nick-named her "Queen Elizabeth" do to her expecting folks to wait on her, (no offense to your Queen). I regret not having an interest when my grandmothers were alive, and my grandfathers I never met. Although I once asked my paternal grandmother about why she came to the U.S. and I asked her to tell me about my grandfather and was answered that children should be seen and not heard and to mind my own business. She was sold to a firm in Llanelli, South Wales, and re-named GLAN MOR under the British flag :- http://library.mysticseaport.org/initiative/SPSearch.cfm?ID=632038 The GLAN MOR was lost in the River St Lawrence, near Quebec, on 28 April 1869. I had to purchase my pics of the BLYTHSWOOD (at not inconsiderable expense) from the Maritime Museum in London, but by a stroke of luck was able to download a pic of grandad's birthplace for free when a painting of the GLENBURN came up for auction in the USA some 11 years ago :- http://www.artnet.com/artist/558930/michele-renault.html My collection of 'snippets' isn't just down to good fortune, by the way. Elaine was kind enough to send me a photo of Blacklow Hall and I believe a photo of her grandfather Harold. Thanks but don't feel bad - what I'm meant to discover will happen and I've come a long way in just over a year -- so I'm quite pleased with my success rate and I've met a lot of nice folks along the way, who have helped me through those brick walls including your own sweet self as well as new found family in England, Canada, Oz, France and many places across the U.S. So I'm on a roll... 2. Hi George, But you want photos of the galley & interior cabin for the Constellation circa 1797 and NOT the 1854 Constellation replacement unless of course they reproduced it as it was. Am I clearly understanding your wishes? I'll be happy to do that for you and will let you know when I travel there for clarification of your wish list. Sorry my previous post got mishmoshed. I haven't mastered an email using url yet but I am trying. Even though I leave a blank line, the way I write it and the way it posts through are different so the spacing isn't showing up. Enjoy your day and I'll get back to you on that. Eleanor In a message dated 1/18/2011 11:31:01 A.M.
