Looking for descendents of or any information on William Wilson Murray, tailor, who lived in Liverpool and possibly Birkenhead from at least 1871-1900. His family included wife, Rose, and children: Mary, Christina, Thomas, Michael. William W. Murray is said to have been born in Westmeath, Ireland, ca 1833. His wife, Rose, may have been born in Dublin. Have found the family in the 1871, 1881, 1891 Censuses. WW Murray may have died before 1900. Thank you, Cynthia in California
I am sorry to ask for help again but if someone has the time could you look up EDWARD CROPPER aged about 20 and living in Liverpool, I don't think he was married at this time but if he was, his wife's name was ELLEN aged about the same. EDWARD was a watchmaker, but could have been an apprentice at this age. Any help would be appreciated. Kind regards Syl - UK
I am hoping someone has the time to do a look in the 1861 census for EDWARD CROPPER born in Liverpool aged about 40 with wife ELLEN aged about 41 and hopefully with child SUSANNAH aged about 19. Edward was a watchmaker/journeyman. Any help would be appreciated. Kind regards Syl - UK

Is this the one? Thomas McVey born 1835 in Hollyhead, Wales living in Toxteth Park with younger sister Emma and a lodger. He is a ships carpenter, married but no sign of wife. There's a couple of others in Lancashire but born there also. Happy to look again if you let me know. Jess

I wonder if anyone is able to help me with an 1851 Liverpool census look up. Some time ago I found the birth location for my 2x g grandmother but I can not now substantiate this as I foolishly did not make a note of the source. I suspect that it may have been from the 1851 census when she was living in Liverpool. The family comprised:- William Dickson, 40, labourer Mary, 39, John, 14, scholar George 12, sawmill marker William, 10, scholar Janet, 8, scholar They were all born in Scotland and I have recorded Mary's birth as being at Crawford in South Lanarkshire. If anyone is able to confirm this I should be most grateful. Norman -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Hi all I am looking for volunteers to help transcribe Lancashire for the Freecen project. In case you don't know about it, it is on ongoing project to get the census' online FREE for the general public. Lancashire is a large county and will take quite a bit of doing when you think of the number of Census there are. A start has been made on the 1891 and 1861 Census. For the former you need access to a fiche reader or it can be done from the discs - supplied by us. For the 1861 Census nothing is needed as we will supply the discs, information and a large amount of help. There are support groups and a great deal of information available. So, if interested, please join our band and help get Lancashire on line. e-mail me at jenny@jenmike.freeserve.co.uk for further details Hope to hear from you Jenny Fylde, Preston and Chorley area co-ordinator for the Freecens project http://www.freecen.org.uk/ Helping to get the 19th century Census on line for free access by all.
