I have a lot of ancestors who moved form different parts of Ireland (Cork and Derry) to Glasgow in the 1860s / 1870s, and thence to Liverpool a few years later. It seems a fairly well established route. One lot moved for work, when new sugar refineries set up in Liverpool, and no idea why the others moved. Glad they did, though. A member could easily change their mind and accuse the listowner of unsubscribing them which was not their intention. You have to do it yourself, you subscribed yourself. You have to unsubscribe yourself. I kept the mail I received when I subscribed. It's a good idea. Here's what you have to do: 1. How to unsubscribe. Send a message to ENG-MERSEYSIDE-L-request@rootsweb.com that contains (in the body of the message) the command unsubscribe and no additional text. *You* have to unsubscribe *yourself*. This is explained when you join. It is just the opposite to subscribing!!!! FWIW It has been suggested to me that there is a PARK presence in Ireland. I guess its likely from Liverpool. I have an Elizabeth PARK, who married Edward CHESTER(S) about 1841 in Ireland.
