    3. Thanks very much for that link Jackie. I keep telling people that the district of Sefton, just north of Liverpool, used to be called Sephton. This map proves it at long last. 3. Good to hear that Barbara - and perhaps someone else will be able to help you, too Nice to hear from you after a long time Marged Although I am still on the list, I am too busy at the moment to work on my own family tree let alone help anyone else. This situation will have changed by April next year as the magazine I run will have ceased on its 250th issue. I hope I will be able to renew my family history research by May and maybe help others as well. Bye for now, Barbara

    3. Thank you Marged for the Deseret Morning News site. Interesting and exciting if it all comes to pass. I have a query from a contact in Wales re her Fletcher connection. Has anyone any info on Robert Emmanuel Fletcher and his brothers Thomas (died in Bebington in 1936) and Geoffrey who moved into a house in Ainsworth Avenue Saughall Massie Morton in 1928/29? Robert served in the 2nd battalion Cheshire regiment in ww2. My sister who lives in Eastham passed the query onto me after seeing a plea for help in one of the local newspapers. I couldn't resist having a go as our family name is Fletcher too. Are there any Fletchers out there connected to these 3 brothers? One never gives up hope of demolishing one of my brick walls too. WILLIAM JAMES FLETCHER my Great Grandfather -born circa 1853 possibly somewhere on Merseyside. Said to have married Alice Hannah AUSTIN. They had a son William James FLETCHER born Tranmere in 1875. Alice Hannah and her son lived with her step sister Elizabeth Hunt and Elizabeth's Husband John Massey in a Fish shop in St. Paul's Rd. before she married William BANNER of Runcorn in 1896. I can find the family in the census collections right through to 1901 but not a mention of my Great Grandad William James FLETCHER. Said to be a Commercial Traveller. (Perhaps he was sowing his wild oats!)Apologies to any commercial travellers reading this! If anyone connects with any of the surnames I have mentioned I would be overwhelmed to hear from you!!!! Many thanks to everyone -particularly Ron- who helped me with a query from a person in Canada. The info you all so kindly gave helped her connect with her Merseyside forbears. Margaret in Australia.
